For me, jazz opens doors to the heart of a singer or a musician. What comes out, I never know beforehand, it’s just different from concert to concert – depending on how I feel. But it is always my personal responsiveness to the mood which carries me. Songs from the American Songbook, one or the other well-known standard, or even new, perhaps unknown songs. These are songs that have influenced me or that I’ve written, and always sound a little different. They are just so, as life is too often – always different …
